File Management
Reflection on Life Map
I am an
organization freak, so this file management module was right up my alley. This
module made me aware of the importance of managing my materials and how to do
it. I have only used Inspiration once before this assignment. Usually I make
everything on Word, but I believe the advantage to Inspiration is that it is
easier to put things where I want them. One thing I would like to go back and do
is take clip art from other sources and try to put it in my "Semantic Map."
Inspiration had few graphics that I liked or wanted to use, but for time
purposes I just used what I had. I would like to see how easy it is to bring
clip art from other places.
This lesson is very effective for me in learning how to use new programs. I find
that I learn best when someone tells me what needs to be done and I have to find
out how to do it myself. Going into Inspiration with this assignment and little
background knowledge of Inspiration required me to explore the program in order
to know how to use it. I was "engaged" in my learning. I had both a purpose and
a personal interest in my life map.
The Technology Learning Cycle is also new to me. Going through this cycle
allowed me to see that the cycle is an effective process of learning. By
introducing a subject (awareness), exploring the subject, and learning more
about the subject through application, I see how I have learned the subject
introduced.
